From crude oil to oil through a variety of processes, different processes will produce different products from the same raw materials.From raw materials, products, basic concepts to production process and production equipment, understand each process flow.
The basic route from crude oil to oil is generally as follows:
- Crude oil is first divided into straight distillates according to the boiling point requirements of different products, and then the non-ideal components of these distillates are removed according to the quality standards of the products;
- Through chemical reaction transformation, the required components are generated and a series of qualified petroleum products are obtained.
The processes commonly used in petroleum refining are atmospheric and vacuum distillation, catalytic cracking, delayed coking, hydrocracking, solvent asphalt, hydrorefining, and catalytic reforming.
